Paleontologist (Pale-lien-tolo-jist) - A person that digs up fossils of ancient creatures; they are most famous for finding dinosaur fossils.
Omnivore (Om-ny-vore) - A animal that will eat about anything, plants, or meat. Us humans are omnivores ourselves.
Triassic Period (Try-a-SICK) - This is the first period when dinosaurs appeared. It lasted from 257-201 M.Y.A. (Million Years Ago).
Jurassic Period (Jur-a-SICK) - This is the second period of when dinosaurs lived. It lasted from 200-145 M.Y.A. (Million Years Ago).
Cretaceous Period (Cret-a-shus-) This is the final period of when dinosaurs lived. It had lasted from 144-65 M.Y.A. (Million Years Ago).
Coniacian Age (Cone-nia-shun) - Another word for the Late Cretaceous period.
Theropod (There-o-pod) - A dinosaur that stands on two legs, most of them are carnivores, though some have evolved over time and became herbivores and omnivores.
Sauropod (Soar-o-pod) - A dinosaur that has a very long neck, these are also herbivores that eat tree leaves.
