The Spinosaurus (pronounced Spine-O-SOAR-us) because of the 6 foot spine on it's back. It is the biggest dinosaur (that is a carnivore) discovered. It can be up to 60 feet long and about 25 feet tall.
Unlike other dinos Spinosaurus and mostly fish so they are semi-aquatic, meaning they lived in water and on land.
Scientist think that the spine is used to control it's body temperature. It had a snout much like a crocodile to make sure most fish don't get away. Some experts think that they may have also used their hands and claws to help catch fish.
Even though it would be cool, Spinosaurus and T-rex would never fight because they lived millions of years away from each other. That is most of the information we know about the Spinosaurus, thank you for visiting TDT! :D
