The Stegosaurus (pronounced STEG-o-soar-US) had many plates on it's back, they may have been use for protection or to control it's body temperature. This dinosaur also has 4 spikes on it's tail used to defend against predators. These bony spikes could leave another dino really wounded. Even though It had many dangerous aspects to it, Stegosaurus was a friendly dinosaur.
