The Apatosaurus (pronounced Apat-o-SOAR-us) also means the Deceptive Lizard. Apatosaurus lived in North America, researchers have found fossils in Texas, Utah, and South Dakota.
Their body mass was estimated to be 19,500 kilometers and its body size was approximately 70 feet long.
They last existed 161 million years ago in the Tithonian Age. It lived 137 million years ago.
It also had a tail that could be used as some sort of whip to scare predators away.
It's tail also helped Apatosaurus stay balanced since it was so heavy. Since Apatosaurus was much bigger then most dinosaurs, it's legs were also used to defend against predators.
It was also a Sauropod. Sauropod's were those long necked dinosaurs that were really big.
That is most of the information we know about the Apatosaurus, thank you for visiting TDT! :D
