Giganotosaurus (pronounced GIGA- not-o-SOAR-us) lived in the Creataceous period. It lived in Argentina and it was a carnivore that was similar (but was bigger) then a T-rex.
Theories suggest that Giganotosaurus eat large sauropods (long-neck dinosaurs). It had a body mass of 6,000 kg. It was 40-41 feet long.
3 different specimens have been found by scientists. Giganotosaurus was first founded by paleontologist Ruben Carolini. The skeleton was 70% done when they found it. It may have had the largest skull of any theropod.
This is most of the information that we know about Giganotosaurus, thank you for visiting TDT! :D
